A new paper from our group in ACS Chemical Biology about inhibitor fingerprinting of rhomboid proteases by ABPP. For the first time, a wide variety of rhomboid proteases from 12 different organisms is screened against a set of the same small molecules. Besides inhibitors that display certain selectivity, it was found that some bacterial rhomboids autoprocess themselves.
